First things first:
If you’re flying to Morocco expecting Europe with camels — adjust your expectations.
It’s ancient, layered, sometimes messy, sometimes luxe, always fascinating.
And yes — sometimes you’ll wonder if Google Maps has an evil twin.
That said — I loved it and I’d go again in a heartbeat (with my fave clients too).
Have you been? Or is it still on your wish list?
Let’s spill the mint tea:

𝙁𝙚𝙯: 𝙇𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 (𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮) 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖
Fez is a time machine — a maze of souks, doors, tiled riads, and textile shops.
Tip: The more beautiful the door — the more likely you’re about to enter a space of luxury and mint tea heaven.
Driving? Don’t. Walk. (And wear sneakers with grip.)
Language? French gets you far. English works in most riads and tourist spots. Arabic adds charm if you dare.
Prices:
• Leather? Amazing value — just haggle with a smile.
• Guided tours? Worth it if you want to see hidden courtyards.
Where I stayed: 𝙍𝙞𝙖𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙚 — total palace vibes.

𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙖: 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨 & 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙜 𝙤𝙝-𝙬𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩
Let’s be honest: you come here for the Hassan II Mosque (jaw-dropping), and then… maybe a seafood lunch with an Atlantic view.
It’s a city in motion — less charming than Fez or Marrakesh, but great for a “glam arrival or departure day.”
Driving here? Brave. Traffic here thinks rules are suggestions.
Prices: More European vibe. Meals around $20–$40 at good spots.

𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨𝙝: 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧, 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧… 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙯𝙮
If Fez is mysterious, Marrakesh is bold, hot, and seductive.
The markets buzz, the gardens soothe, and the riads… well, Instagram was invented for them.
Jardin Majorelle — yes, it’s worth it.
Le Jardin Secret — smaller, quieter, gorgeous.
Riads with rooftop pools? YES please.
Language: French + English everywhere here.
Prices:
• Riads from $100–$300/night
• Cocktails? About $12–$15 at nice spots
Driving? NOPE. Take private transfers or a trusted driver.

𝙍𝙞𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙫𝙨. 𝙃𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙨 — 𝙈𝙮 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚
Riads:
For the vibe, photos, intimacy
Breakfast is an art form
You feel like a guest, not a room number
Hotels:
If you want Western-style consistency
For bigger pools, gyms, and 24/7 everything
Less charm, but sometimes more comfort
My pick? Always at least a few nights in a riad — it’s part of the magic.

𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙤 (Should you?)
I did it — here’s the truth:
Highways between cities = excellent (toll roads, easy drive)
Inside cities = madness (unless you love scooters cutting between cars and no lane discipline)
Tips:
• Hire a driver for cities if unsure
• Renting a car for day trips = totally doable
• Pack patience and Google Maps (Apple Maps cried and gave up)
—
𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙫𝙨. 𝙐𝙎𝘿
• Hotels/Riads = great value for luxury
• Dining = $15–$50 depending on vibe
• Tours = ~$100–$200 for private day tours
• Shopping = haggle, but kindly

𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙞𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙖… 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙢
Would I go again? In a heartbeat — but with:
• Better walking shoes
• A killer camera roll plan
• And an extra suitcase (because Moroccan lamps will CALL you, trust me)
If you want to do Morocco in style — with sparkle, ease, and plenty of luxury moments — you know who to call.
